The predecessor to the Advisor Collective began in 2015 with a dozen individuals across a handful of HR technology consultancies, service delivery firms, and like-minded organizations. The initial intent was to discuss ways attendees could benefit their respective clients through an informal network of subject matter experts. The premise was that no single consultant or firm could stay on top of every single element of HR transformation, whether advisory, consulting, sourcing, implementation, and/or service delivery. As a network, we shared information and experiences to ultimately benefit clients. This original network met a few times per year and slowly grew attendance by several dozen individuals.
In 2017, it was discovered that a separate group of advisors and consultants were in the process of forming a similar structure, so in 2018, these two informal organizations came together to create what is now known as the Advisor Collective.
